We are finding our rhythm at The Learning Table — each session unfolding new layers of thought and deepening our connection and reflection. Thanks to everyone who’s joined us so far for these meaningful conversations.
Table Bites
1. Keep your friends close — and your enemies closer
Don’t dismiss someone’s advice just because they challenge you. As we shared in the last session, these “blockers” shape your growth and sharpen your focus. It’s how you respond — not who you’re facing — that determines your next breakthrough. So, what’s your first step?
2. Trust, or don’t delegate 用人不疑,疑人不用
A philosophy of trust in action. If you assign a task, commit fully to the person you’ve chosen. Hesitation undermines their confidence and yours. But trust starts deeper: with yourself. Trust your judgment—your choices, your path. When you stand behind your decisions, you lead with clarity, empower others, and deepen your own conviction. True leadership is trusting yourself enough to let go.
3. Listening is a powerful tool to show empathy
Empathy doesn’t always require big gestures. Sometimes, listening without fixing is enough. Tune in to emotional cues — words like frustrated, curious, disappointed, or hopeful. This will shift your listening from surface-level to truly supportive.
4. Do they need a 'H'?
As you listen, ask yourself: Does this person need to feel Heard, need Help, or need a Hug? This simple check-in can guide how you respond with more intention and care.
As a reminder from last week: Each session comes with a Reflection Note — a powerful worksheet exclusive to participants. These aren’t just questions; they’re an invitation to pause, dive deep, and explore what truly matters. Many have found this to be a transformative part of their experience.
