Some seasons surprise us. We expect certain challenges to return year after year — the slow pace, the heavy mood, the feeling of being stuck — yet sometimes, they simply don’t. Something shifts, and what once weighed us down feels lighter.

If the idea of navigating seasonal changes resonates with you, you might enjoy our earlier post: Discovering the Beauty of Emotional Winters.

  1. Where did you expect to struggle this season, but didn’t? What changed?

  2. What’s one small change you made that had a bigger impact than expected?

  3. Who or what became your unexpected anchor? How did they steady you?

  4. How can you honor that anchor (person, ritual, or insight)?

  5. What’s one thing you stopped forcing—and saw improve naturally?

  6. If this year’s resilience were a body of water, would it be a lake (calm), a river (flowing), or an ocean (deep)—and why?

Ripple Challenge of the Month: Pick one thing that feels stuck—like an unfinished book or a paused project. Take one tiny action to ‘thaw’ it: flip through a chapter, jot down three ideas, or send a short message. Notice what shifts—sometimes thawing one thing melts more than you expect.
