Time truly flies — we’ve reached our third session of The Learning Table. Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us on this journey of learning and reflection. If you missed the earlier sessions, feel free to revisit our previous Table Bites - you might discover something that speaks to you, just as many of our participants have.
Table Bites
1. A Best Friend Takes Many Forms
A best friend doesn’t always show up in the same way. They take on different forms at different times, depending on your situation, environment, purpose, and relationships. And their presence always carries meaning — a purpose guiding their arrival.
Think about the moments when you’re feeling happy, challenged, sad, or excited. Which “best friend” do you turn to? Whether it’s Gratitude, Resilience, Patience, or Optimism — invite them in, and let them walk with you.
2. When the Right Questions Matter Most
Support doesn’t always come with answers — sometimes, it arrives as a better question. The kind that shifts your perspective, expands your thinking, and reminds you that you’re not stuck — just evolving.
This mindset appears when you’re uncertain or doubting your next step. It doesn’t rush or assume — it pauses and explores. Ask more, tell less — in conversations with others, and especially with yourself.
3. Sustainable change starts with small efforts
To build resilience and create lasting impact in the workplace, consistency is key. A thoughtful follow-up. A genuine check-in. An intentional word of encouragement.
These seemingly small efforts can leave a lasting impression. When practiced consistently, they turn into habits — and over time, those habits build a resilient, supportive culture.
Reminder: Every session comes with an exclusive Reflection Note — not just a set of questions, but a thoughtful prompt to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters. A game-changer for many of our participants.
Session 4 — “People Don’t Change, or Do They?” Our final Cantonese session happens next Friday — looking forward to sharing the last part of The Learning Table journey with you.
An English session is also coming this June. Feel free to invite a friend to join us! [Details and Sign Up Here]
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far, and a special shoutout to my best-friend-partner, Cara Steenstra, for making The Learning Table such a meaningful experience. Can’t wait to see you at the last session!
